I don't do family portraiture
When I think of family portraits, I think of those flat, happy studio photos.
Everyone smiling, wearing jeans, barefoot, and in a white shirt. No thanks, I’ll pass. But when someone asks you to take a family photo and you can’t say no, you might as well make it something fun.

This photo was entirely in the style of the family, not that they dressed like this every day or owned a car like that. But they loved it: the older American style. And that’s when a family portrait suddenly becomes interesting.
